Pope receives apology from UK Foreign Office for 'condom' memo
Summary
An internal foreign office memo about the pope’s visit has leaked. The document contained a brainstorm session about what the pope could do on his visit planed in September. The memo written by staff planning events suggested that the pope could open a abortion ward or launch his own brand of condoms. In a statement made by the Foreign office was said “This is clearly a foolish document that does not in any way reflect UK government or Foreign Office policy or views” . In Italia the news of the leaked memo was not taken lightly. La Stampa said that this incident does not help to improve the anti-papal feeling that certain sectors are trying to feed in the UK.
I think a lot of people are over reacting to this leaked memo. It is clearly something that was written as a joke in a brainstorm session. I think it is really weird that the government is trying to make excuses why the memo was written. Excuses such as, it was written to look at the most extreme ends of what the pope could do in the UK. I feel the person who wrote this memo should not be punished for it because it is very clear to me that it was just a joke.

Ash landing
Summary
A flight from Manchester Airport had to make quick abort after flying into a ask cloud from the volcano in Island. The captain of the air plane was the first one to noticed something was wrong. When the plane was around 16,000 feet he could smell volcanic ash. Moments after he smelled the ash the plane lost one of her engines. The pilot abandoned the Thomas cook flight making a detour out over the North Sea before returning to Manchester Airport. Experts think the ash may have clogged the engine bleed valve. This flight was among the first to leave after the UK ban on air traffic.
My opinion
I think this pilot mate the right decision of returning back to England. I think it is ridicules that they take the risk of lathing air planes fly when they are not 100 per cent sure that it is safe. I think they should do more research about how the ask can infect the planes and how long it will take before it is safe to fly again.

Nick Clegg seizes his moment in historic TV debate
The first debate between Britain's party leaders transformed the election. In a poll by The Times there was only one clear winner. Sixty-one per cent of the voters said that Nick Clegg was the winner of the debate. Mr. Brown and Mr. Cameron both could not deliver in the debate they had trouble delivering killer blows. Mr. Clegg was the first to conquer his nerves and get his points across. Mr. Brown stroked common cause with Mr. Clegg in a try to isolate Mr. Cameron but Mr. Clegg was anxious to avoid this. Mr. Cameron tried to make a strong end by saying people should not be put off by a Conservative government.
My opinion
My opinion about this debate is that it is really hard to follow in the video. The video only shows a few quotes but not even the questions or the subject they talk about. I think it is a really good development in English politics that a third is getting bigger because the two other parties are sitting in their place to long. Nick Clegg really shakes things up. The article is pretty clear I think. They give a good time line about what happened and how every party leader did in the debate.
