Summary
A very big security flaw on Facebook has been discovered by TechCrunch. TechCrunch’s Steve O’Hear said about the problem on Facebook “There is a major security flaw in the social networking site that, with just a mouse click, enables any user to view the live chats of their friends”. TechCrunch has passed this information to Facebook who took immediate actions. Facebook has closed down their chat function until they fixed the problem. Regarding to this safety topic on Facebook the senator for Colorado Mark Begich wrote a letter to Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg.
My opinion
I think it is a very good thing that TechCrunch reported the very big security flaw to Facebook. If this information would have leaked some people could have been taken advantages of. Facebook also responded in a very good way by immediately shutting down the chat function to fix this problem. Because of this I will keep on using Facebook because I know security is one of their main concerns.
