Osama bin Laden: is he alive and well in Washington DC?

http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/richard-adams-blog/2010/may/05/osama-bin-laden-mahmoud-ahmadinejad-washington

Summary

As everyone knows the USA has spend the last 7 years trying to find Osama bin Laden, so far without success. But the USA recently got new information about where Osama could be hiding. None other then Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the president of Iran shared this information in an interview. He said this in a interview with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos. Ahmandinejad believes that Osama is hiding in Washington DC, he thinks this because Osama and Mr Bush were colleagues back in the old days. Stephanopulos think that this is nuts but on the other hand it would make for a good hideout.

My opinion

I think this article is really weird to be honest. I think it is ignorant to say that Osame is hiding out in the USA because he worked to gather with Bush. The president of Iran is just yelling some random stuff to get attention from people. If Osame was hiding out in the USA the government should know about this and stop spending all this money to find him in the middle east. I think it is unacceptable to say these kind of things without the prove or any evidence to back it up.

  1. Dear Maarten,

This is a clear summary and reaction but there are quite a few grammar mistakes to watch out for. First, be careful with capitalisation: "Information," "MR," "middle east." Other spelling and grammar mistakes: "Osame," -> Osama; "No one other then" -> None other than; "a interview" -> an interview; "to gather" -> together; "prove" -> proof.

Keep, up the good summaries, but remember your spell checker! Kate
